Bidvest Wits will return to their alternate home venue, the Mbombela Stadium, to take on Absa Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs on Monday, 24 September 2012, kick-off at 18h00.

Wits are unbeaten in their last three games, though they needed a late equaliser from Erwin Isaacs against Chippa United to claim a 1-1 draw in their last outing.

The Johannesburg team will be looking to pick up a second home win this season, having drawn 2-2 with Black Leopards and beaten Bloemfontein Celtic 2-0 in two matches at Bidvest Stadium.

The Clever Boys are placed 10th on the Absa Premiership log with five points from four matches.

Chiefs returned to the top of the league standings in midweek with a 2-1 home win over Black Leopards in a rescheduled match.

The Soweto giants are the only team to have picked up three league wins so far this season.

The Amakhosi are placed first on the Absa Premiership log with 10 points from four matches.

In head-to-head stats, Wits and Chiefs have met in 52 league matches since 1985.

The Amakhosi have 25 wins compared to 10 for the Clever Boys, while 17 matches have been drawn.

Chiefs have a terrific away record against Wits, with 15 wins and just two losses from 27 matches. The University-based team last beat the Soweto side at home back in the 2002/03 season.

Last season the Amakhosi took four points off the Clever Boys in the teams’ two league fixtures, winning 2-1 in their home match before drawing 1-1 away.
