Durban rivals AmaZulu and Golden Arrows will meet for a bottom-of-the-log Absa Premiership clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 01 September 2012, kick-off at 18h00.

AmaZulu began the league season with a 6-0 home defeat at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs and will definitely be aiming for a better performance in this second home match.

The Durban side suffered a second defeat in their away clash against provincial rivals Maritzburg United, which they lost 2-0.

Usuthu are placed 16th on the league standings after the first two rounds of matches.

Arrows started their league campaign with a 2-1 away loss to defending champions Orlando Pirates.

The Durban side then lost their first home game of the season 1-0 to top flight rookies University of Pretoria.

Abafana Bes’thende are placed 15th on the league standings after the first two rounds of matches.

In head-to-head stats, AmaZulu and Arrows have met in 16 league games since 2001/02.

Abafana Bes’thende have eight wins, Usuthu six, and there have been just two draws between the teams.

AmaZulu’s home record against Arrows reads P8 W3 D2 L3 GF7 GA6.

Last season Usuthu did a league ‘double’ over their Durban rivals, winning 2-1 away and 1-0 at home.
