– Welcome to the live commentary for the Absa Premiership match between AmaZulu and Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
– Both sides will be looking to start their season with maximum points, although both matches between ended in 0-0 last season.
– AmaZulu welcome back Carlington Nyadombo into their central defence after the Zimbabwean international missed last weekend's cup game.
– Kaizer Chiefs have also been boosted by the return of talisman and winger Siphiwe Tshabalala.
1’ – The first half is underway.
3’ – It has been a rusty start for both sides as they have been guilty of giving away possession too easily.
4’ – First meaningful attack for Kaizer Chiefs but Nkosi is unable to delivers the cross and the ball goes straight to goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini.
6’ – Chiefs on the attack again and the ball almost falls for Nkhatha on the edge of the box but Teyise is able to get there first.
7’ – Mokoro wins the first corner for AmaZulu. Mbele delivers towards the far post and Chiefs eventually clear.
8’ – Vilakazi almost through on goal but Khune comes out early to stop his run just inside the box.
13’ – Great pass from Nkosi to release Nkhatha, but Tapini comes out bravely to close him down.
16’ – Usuthu on the attack and the ball falls for Senamela just outside the penalty area, but he sends his powerful shot just wide of the post.
18’ – Goodman Dlamini now trying a shot from long range, he gets the ball on target but Khune makes a comfortable save.
20’ – A quick throw-in for AmaZulu and Goodman Dlamini finds Senamela inside the box, but he shoots wide again.
23’ – Good turn from Zhuwawo into the Chiefs box but he loses his balance and the danger is cleared.
26’ – Good run from Tshabalala and he plays a one-two with Nkhatha but his effort is parried away by Kapini.
27’ – The corner comes in and Kapini fumbles the ball but eventually manages to keep it in his gloves.
29’ – AmaZulu slowing down the game at the moment as they pass the ball in their own half.
30’ – Chiefs win a corner as Jambo's cross is deflected for a corner. Parker delivers the ball into th box and Mokoro is able to head clear.
32’ – Parker cuts the ball back for Jambo and he curls his shot towards the target, but Kapini palms the ball away.
34’ – Freekick for AmaZulu delivered into the box by Senamela, but Zhuwawo sends his header well wide of goal.
37’ – Counter-attack for Chiefs and Nkhatha twists and turns before he shoots on target but Kapini is able to deflect his shot away from goal to concede a corner.

38’ – The pressure pays off for Chiefs as Parker shoots past Kapini after receiving a good pass from Josta Dladla.
40’ – Nkhatha connects with a cross from Moleko but his overhead kick goes just wide.

41’ – From a corner Mathoho sees his shot tipped onto the crossbar by Kapini but Nkhatha tucks the ball in from the rebound.
44’ – Chiefs win a freekick about 20 yards out as Nkhatha is brought down but Parker curls his effort wide of the far post.
45 + 1’ – Good run by Dladla and he squares the ball for parker but somehow his shot goes over the crossbar with an open net in front of him.

– Both sides had their chances in the first half but Kaizer Chiefs came in strongly in the final ten minutes and managed to score two crucial goals.
46’ – The second half is underway. Kaizer Chiefs will look to extend their advantage to maintain their control of the game while AmaZulu will look for an early goal to reduce the deficit.
48’ – Chiefs on the attack with Tshabalala on the right but his cross is headed away by Teyise.

90’ – The rout continues as Parker feeds Nkosi just inside the box and he places his left-footed shot past Kapini.

– Kaizer Chiefs came back even stronger in the second half and AmaZulu had no answers for their pace and quality finishing.
