Akwa slammed for abandoned match

Akwa United have been banished from Uyo to Rojenny Stadium Oba for the rest of the season.
And they are to pay the sum of 200,000 Naira to each of the assaulted match officials.
Top league official Salihu Abubakar disclosed to MTNFootball.com: "Decisions have been taken over Akwa United following their fans assault on match officials during their game against Warri Wolves.
“Akwa United have been banished from Uyo to Rojenny Stadium for the rest of the season and that will start with their Week 18 game against Kwara United.
“The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but has been shifted to Thursday due to short notice.
“They will also pay each of the assaulted match officials 200,000 Naira. They will also pay for the damaged advert board at the stadium."
Abubakar further told MTNFootball.com that the assaulted match officials could go to court to sue those who assaulted them and that more sanctions may still be placed on Akwa United.
He said "The referees have been told they can seek legal action for the assault, that is a personal thing. We may take more sanctions on Akwa United if need be."
