Kingsley Udoh has said his invitation to the Super Eagles will save his international career.

He is one of the 23 players from the Nigeria Premier League expected in Abuja this week ahead of a 2013 Africa cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia in Calabar on October 13.

The first clash in early September ended 2-2 in Monrovia.

Udoh, who has been in and out of an ankle injury sustained while in action for the Olympic team last November, said, "This is an opportunity to relaunch my national team career.

"I am very glad that the Eagles coach has given me this opportunity."

The former Heartland defender featured at the 2007 U17 World Cup in Korea, where Nigeria were champions for a third time.

He also played for the Nigeria U20s at Egypt 2009, but has yet to be capped at full international level.

Udoh assured he is fully fit now. "I am fully fit and ready to go," he told MTNFootball.com
