Sunshine Stars striker Izu Azuka will join African champions Espérance of Tunisia in December on a three and half-year contract.

The Esperance official website announced the transfer and reported that the deal was agreed after their CAF Champions League Group A clash against Sunshine Stars in Tunis.

The Nigerian representatives lost the game by the odd goal but have still qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Azuka’s performance in the CAF Champions League did not go unnoticed by the Tunisian champions who snapped him up.

The energetic forward, who has been capped by the Super Eagles, will join his new team after the conclusion of the CAF Champions League in December 2012.

Azuka was also courted by Turkish second division club Adana Demirspor this summer, but he turned down a chance to undergo trials.

The 23-year-old player played for JS Kabylie of Algeria between 2008 and 2010 as well as top Libyan team Al-Ittihad Tripoli in 2011.
