AWOL Enugu Ranger striker Chikeluba Ofoedu has joined Turkish club 1461 Trabzon Karadenizspor on a year’s loan.

Ofoedu also has an option for a further two years contract based on his performance while on loan.

The Ofoedu deal was brokered by Hayati Sen, a Turkish agent.

Hayati’s partner Ahmet Arslan told MTNFootball.com that the Rangers forward impressed the second division team while on trials and was offered a year’s deal with an option for a permanent deal later based on performance.

“Ofoedu deal was brokered by my partner Hayti Sen. Ofoedu has joined 1461 Trabzon on a year’s loan. He has an option of additional two if he impresses. He is a good player and impress here. The club waits for his ITC,” Ahmet told MTNFootball.com

However, Rangers told MTNFootball.com that they are not aware of the transfer.

“Ofoedu’s transfer to us is still a rumour because we have not been contacted by the Turkish team. We are waiting to hear from them, may be by Monday they will contact us,” Rangers spokesperson Foster Chime disclosed.

Rangers claimed the striker left them without permission.

He has also undergone trials at Norwegian club Rosenborg.
