Chairman of Enugu Rangers Festus Onuh has said his team will “play the real politics both on and off the pitch” to be champions this season.

‘The Flying Antelopes’ lead the Nigeria Premier League table with 52 points with six rounds of matches still to be played.

“This is the time to play the real politics in the league, not just on the pitch, but outside the pitch,” Onuh told MTNFootball.com

“I’m based in Port Harcourt and I know how Dolphin have won the league.”

Business mogul Onuh stated that with his deep understanding of the goings-on in the domestic league coupled with the high degree of motivation of the playing staff, Rangers will be champions again.

“As a matter of fact there is no way we can be beaten to the trophy this season. We are a complete team now from the playing staff, management staff and board members,” he said.

“I believe I understand one or two things from my romance with the Port-Harcourt based sides and what they do to emerge champions which I know we have in abundance now in Rangers.

“We are the team to beat this season and no team can stop us.”

He added, “Having reclaimed the top spot which we temporally lost to Kano Pillars with our win over Kwara United, there will be no stopping us from winning the league.

“We are ready to do and even surpass all that our challengers can do to emerge 2011/2012 NPL champions.”

He promised to continue to reward fans who come to watch Rangers games in the lucky dip promotion he introduced which has seen an upsurge in attendances at Rangers home games.

Lucky spectators win household items like television sets, industrial fans, and other home electrical appliances during the promotion.
