NPL hotshot Sibi Gwar took his
goals haul to 13 in Niger Tornadoes 2-0 home win over Gombe United Thursday.
The Benue State-born forward has never hidden his aspiration to win the goal King award and set a new goal scoring record in NPL.
In Hadejia, Jigawa Golden Stars continued their impressive fight to escape the drop after they beat Akwa United by a lone goal scored by Bala Mohammed, whose 22-yard shot caught goalkeeper Femi Thomas napping to take his goals tally to nine in the league.
Jigawa now have 38 points.
Coach Evans Ogenyi saluted his boys and reaffirmed confidence the team will not be relegated.
