Lobi insist they are in title race
Nworgu of Lobi
With two outstanding games, Lobi, who were champions in 1999, are standing on the third spot after beating six-time champions Enyimba 2-0 in a Week 34 game Wednesday.
Focus is on the top two Enugu Rangers and Kano Pillars, but Lobi Stars with 54 points from 32 matches could go all the way if they carry their unbeaten run at home to every venue in the last four games of the season.
"If you are following us and our performance in the league this season, you will know that we have a side that can shock bookmakers," former international Iorfa told MTNFootball.com
"Nobody is talking about us but in the last five weeks we have maintained a top five position, now we are third and we have a better opportunity to finish as league champions."
However, the former NFF board member declined comments on their botched league game against Rising Stars, insisting that the disciplinary committee of the NFF will deal with the issue.
