Sibi Gwar - 17 goals and counting...
Niger Tornadoes striker Sibi Gwar struck thrice against former club Kwara to move closer to the NPL all-time record of 20 goals Wednesday.

Gwar has now scored 17 goals, only three goals short of the goals record set by Jude Aneke last season.

NPL strugglers Tornadoes beat Kwara United 3-1 with Segun Alebiosu getting the consolation goal for his team at Bako Kantogora Stadium in Minna.

An ecstatic Sibi Gwar told MTNFootball.com that he is delighted to have scored a treble against his old team and said he is confident he will set a new goals record at the end of the season.

“I am happy with my form, scoring a hat-trick today was wonderful, and against my former team made it even more exciting for me,” he said.

“I respect Kwara United, but I have to do my job. I scored two goals against them in first round and I scored three at home.

“I am sure I will get at least four goals in the remaining games to set a new record.”
