Gambo Mohammed for trials
Kano Pillars star striker Gambo Mohammed will jet out for trials at Al Ittihad Club of Egypt Thursday, officials disclosed.

“We have given him a two-day leave to attend trials at Al Ittihad based in Alexandria, Egypt. He will therefore leave on Thursday after our league game against Sharks in Port Harcourt,” Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa informed MTNFootball.com

Big striker Mohammed has so far scored 12 goals for title-chasing Pillars this season.

This will be his second shot at featuring in the Egyptian league. He also tried out with Cairo giants Zamalek in 2005.

This season, several Pillars stars including Gabriel Reuben, Victor Namo and Isa Sharif have undergone trials overseas.
