Rangers declare star striker Ofoedu missing
Ofoedu has gone AWOL
Rangers chief executive Ozor Paul Chibuzor informed MTNFootball.com that that he has formally complained to the Enugu FA in respect of Ofoedu’s disappearance.
“He has been missing since Monday as we did not give him permission to stay away from training,” said the Rangers top official.
It is widely believed that he may have left for Turkey.
Club spokesman Foster Chime told MTNFootball.com that it was unprofessional for the 11-goal striker to jump on any available flight to have trials overseas without due clearance.
“This is unbecoming of this player. It smacks of great unprofessional attitude. How can he just leave us without any clue of where he was going at this crucial moment? said Chime.
“This surely looks like sabotage from the club’s detractors and he will surely be punished whenever he shows up.”
It would be recalled that the promising forward recently went for trials with Norwegian Tippeligaen side Rosenborg, but he was not given a contract before he returned to Enugu.
