Abalogu scored again for ABS
Relegation-troubled ABS FC thrashed fellow strugglers Kaduna United 3-0 in a Week 37 NPL tie on Thursday.

ABS now have 46 points from 36 games with still an outstanding game at home against Sunshine Stars. However, they are still sucked within the drop zone.

The Ilorin club’s top scorer Abdulrahman Bashir opened the scoring in the first minute, before Kadiri Aminu made 2-0 for the home team.

Enterprising forward Andrew Abalogu crowned a great day with a goal in the 24th minute.

Kaduna United defender Emma Ambrose scored his team’s consolation goal in the 46th minute.

Meanwhile, the drama in the NPL continued as the Ocean Boys vs Rising Stars game was to be played again on Thursday after the hosts refused to come out for the game on Wednesday.

The same repeated itself and Rising Stars did the traditional walkover ceremony on Wednesday and Thursday for same game in Yenegoa.

Rising Star player Laide Akinwande told MTNFootball.com that they have to wait till Thursday after they were directed by the league body that the game will still be played.

“We were asked to stay back after the walkover yesterday (Wednesday) that we will play the game on Thursday, but Ocean Boys did not show up again and we walked over them again for the second time,” Akinwande said.
