Sharks have blamed the referee from Adamawa for a 2-1 loss at Kaduna United in an NPL Week 36 game played on Thursday.

The loss slowed down the Port Harcourt club’s title push.

Sharks media officer Confidence Idah told MTNFootball.com that they ought not to have lost the game but for biased and questionable officiating by referee Sule.

"I have never seen this kind of officiating in my life, the referee was completely against us from beginning till the end of the game. Imagine there was no offside call against Kaduna United. He awarded three penalties for them out of which they scored two. He also gave Madu Chiamaka red card. This is ridiculous," complained Idah.

Insidibe Oliver converted two penalties to give hosts Kaduna a valuable 2-1 win. His goals were in the 50th and 85th minutes, while Terry Envoh scored Sharks goal.

Kaduna United coach Saleh Tanko aka Lato said it was a deserved win.

"It was a deserved victory for us though we fought hard for it. I believe with our position and level of improvement in performance, we will not be relegated," Saleh told MTNFootball.com

In the other match played Thursday, Rising Stars compounded ABS FC relegation fears with a 2-1 win at home.

Kayode Agboola and Segun Bajowa scored for home team in the 16th and 53rd minutes ,respectively. Onovo Kingsley scored ABS FC goal after six minutes.

The match between Wikki Tourists and bottom team Ocean Boys was postponed till Saturday to allow Ocean Boys sort out some problems that stopped them from honouring the game.
