side JUTH FC have appointed Hassan Abubakar as their new coach.
He replaces the Cameroonian Emmanuel Deutsch, who could not save the Jos club from relegation this past season.
In a release by the club media officer, Olusola Alao, former Wikki Tourist coach Abubakar emerged tops in an interview attended by eight coaches.
“JUTH have appointed Hassan Abubakar as the chief coach ahead of new season. He come tops in conducted for eight coaches.
“He has been mandated to lead the team back to the premier league. The management will give him all the needed support to achieve as we always do to the previous coaches.”
Abubakar, who led Wikki Tourist back to NPL last season, is a graduate of physical and health education from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
He is a Grade 1 coach with a higher diploma in coaching from NIS, Lagos, which he obtain in 1998. He also attended some courses which include 5-a-side football course, Futuro2 FIFA/ANFA coaching course and also attended 1st CAF coaching course in football.
Alao said his wealth of experience will definitely help the team.
“He is an experienced coach and was the U17 coach to Seychelles 2001, FIFA World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago in 2002; chief coach of U18 team to CAF/UEFA Meridian Cup in Cairo 2003,” remarked Alao.
“He also coached Stuttgart 5-a-side team. All these experiences coupled with handling of Niger Tornadoes, Kaduna United, Zamfara United and Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria league is a reflection of his qualities.”
