U20 world champions Brazil and Japan have cruised into the semi-finals of the Cape Town International Challenge Monday.

Inside the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town, Brazil bashed 10-man Kenya 4-0, while Japan beat Cameroon 2-1 to record their second straight wins.

Wellington dos Santos grabbed a brace for the Samba stars from Rio.

Brazil and Japan have recorded six points apiece after they also won their opening games.

Asian champions Japan trounced Kenya 3-0 and nine-man Brazil pipped Cameroon 1-0.

On Tuesday, the two semi-finalists from Group A of the international invitational tournament will be known.

Hosts South Africa battle defending champions Nigeria, while Ghana take on Argentina.

Argentina are top of the standings with six points after two matches but all four teams still are in with a chance of advancing to the last four of the biennial tournament.
