Nosa Igiebor has revealed his disappointment at being left out of the Eagles by
coach Stephen Keshi.
The skilful midfielder featured in a friendly against Zambia in November but has since not figured in Keshi’s plans after he was highly thought of by former coach Samson Siasia.
"Nigerians know what I can do and they know I haven't disappointed when I had the chance to play for Nigeria. It is therefore natural that I feel let down I have not been called to the Eagles when I believe I should be there,” said Igiebor, who was the stand-out star for the Nigeria Olympic team last year.
“I have nothing against the coach, who is in charge but I am always ready to play for my country whenever I am called upon.”
The former Lillestrom of Norway star also disclosed he is unclear on his club future as he has offers in Israel and beyond.
"Honestly, I don't know where I will be playing next season. I am still a player of Hapoel Tel Aviv, but don't know whether it will be same when league start,” he said.
“I have a lot of offers in Israel and abroad my agent told me and they are talking, so I can't say more than that. I am sure my destination will be known in a few weeks."
The former Warri Wolves star was an important part of Hapoel Tel Aviv last season as he helped them win state cup and book a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
