MTNFootball.com checks out the hottest 20 Nigerian players on the transfer market in Europe and, yes going by the new revolution, they include several stars from the Nigeria Premier League...

20. Mustapha Babadidi (Striker/Gombe United)

Gombe United striker’s move to Europe has only been delayed by a long-term knee injury, which needed surgery recently.

It is even believed that an agreement has been reached for the 16-year-old Babadidi, who has fired 10 goals in the NPL this season, to team up with Dutch club VVV Venlo following in the footsteps of the likes of Ahmed Musa and Uche Nwofor.

19. Chikeluba Ofoedu (Striker/Enugu Rangers)

Rangers top scorer with 10 goals in his debut season in the top flight has done enough to attract interest from foreign clubs.

He is currently undergoing trials at top Norwegian club Rosenborg.

Clubs from Turkey namely Rezespor, Konyaspor, newly promoted German Bundesliga side Greuter Furth as well as teams in Asia have been hot on his chase.

18. Sibi Gwar (Striker/Niger Tornadoes)

It is just a matter of time before NPL leading scorer joins the long list of Nigerians plying their trade in Europe following his consistency in front of goal for Niger Tornadoes.

His club may be struggling in the top flight, but he has been banging in the goals regularly, 15 goals thus far and still counting.

The goals have already attracted interest from Singapore, which he has turned down, while Samsunspor of Turkey, Belenese in Portugal and KAA Gent and Genk from Belgium are queuing up.

He now looks likely to end up in Turkey, where there are more serious bids on the table.

17. Godfrey Oboabona (Defender/Sunshine Stars)

Sunshine Stars skipper has established himself as the Super Eagles right back since Stephen Keshi took charge in November.

The goal-scoring defender, who can also play in central defence or as a defensive midfielder, has offers from Turkey and Norway.

16. Gabriel Reuben (Midfielder/Kano Pillars)

Kano Pillars defensive midfielder is one of the shinning lights in current Eagles and is on the radar of many agents and clubs.

Sooner than later, he would be featuring in Europe. His destination is unconfirmed but it could be Turkey or Norway.

The only concern is that this former Enyimba and Kaduna United star has attended several overseas trials and has yet to bag a contract.

15. Ejike Uzoenyi (Winger/Enugu Rangers)

Enugu Rangers left winger’s days are numbered in the NPL as his consistent displays for the Super Eagles have drawn the interests of overseas clubs particularly in Turkey, where Akhisarspor and lately Boluspor, are seeking his signature.

14. Gege Soriola (Defender/Free State Stars/South Africa)

Free State Stars of South Africa defence ace has attracted interest from Premier Soccer League (PSL) sides Moroka Swallows and Supersport United.

However, his South African club are not keen to sell him to any club in the PSL.

His likely destination could therefore be Turkey or Greece, according to the big central defender who has disclosed that discussions are at an advanced stage.

13. Obinna Obiefule (Striker/Mosta FC/Malta)

Mosta FC of Malta free-scoring striker will definitely not play in Malta next season, but is destination is yet unclear as he has attracted interests from teams in Europe and Asia following his superb performance in Malta last season when he set new all-time goals record.

He has so far undergone trials at Brann Bergen in Norway and he has also attracted interest from China, Denmark and Germany.

12. Odion Ighalo (Striker/Granada/Spain)

After his second spell at Granada on loan from Udinese, the Nigeria youth international is in dilemma over where he will play his club football next term.

Ighalo has made it clear he is home in Granada, while he is also open to a big pay day elsewhere, but the final decision lies in Udinese, who own him.

There is a serious interest for the striker cum winger in France.

11. Sone Aluko (Winger/Glasgow Rangers/Scotland)

Glasgow Rangers winger looks certain not to play with the troubled Scottish giants next season after he rejected a move to transfer his contract to a new company that has taken over the club.

The Nigeria international winger netted a total of 12 goals last season for Rangers and so he has done enough to now take his game back to England or even Spain, where Rayo Vallecano have shown a serious interest.
