Flying Eagles striker Gero
The Eagles will host Rwanda in a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier second leg in Calabar Saturday after the first clash ended 0-0 in Kigali February.
While Falcons will host their Zimbabwean counterparts in a 2012 African Women’s Championship second leg game having won the first encounter 2-0 in Harare.
“Our support for both teams is total and we have also committed them in our prayers because their success is also our success,” Flying Eagles coach John Obuh said.
“Personally, I have been in close contact with Eagles coach Stephen Keshi as we often compare notes and all along we have supported each other.”
Obuh added: “As both games are at home, we will enjoin the fans in both Calabar and Lagos to come out in their numbers to cheer them to resounding victories.
“Nigerian football is on the rise again and we should all join hands to ensure that the momentum already achieved by the qualification of the country’s U17 and U20 female teams to this year’s World Cups is sustained.”
African champions Flying Eagles have intensified their preparation for the 2013 African Youth Championship as they begin their title defence next month in Tanzania.

john Obuh should concentrate on picking players that will represent nigeria proudly in uderage team than those from the North whom his mallam have forced him to pick . You will surely fail again as you have done well with your Aboki players. Am ashame of thinking you're an Igbo behaving like malu. Please keep your eyes off Keshi's team as not to polute our Super Eagles with your bad Luck.
Foolish man//.
