Kwara suspend coach after cup exit

Kwara United have suspended coach Tunde Sanni after they exited from the Federation Cup following a 2-1 loss to Kano Pillars Wednesday.

The management of the club handed him suspension letter and have instructed his assistant, Zubair Ali, to take over.

Kwara have lost their first group games in the cup competition. They lost 1-0 to El Kanemi Warriors, before Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat by Pillars.

Club media officer Olusola Ajide Olayioye comfirmed the decision to MTNFootball.com

"We have suspended our coach Tunde Sanni indefinitely and his assistant Zubair Ali has been directed to take over the team,” Ajide announced.

In another Federation Cup match, Plateau United drew 1-1 with Gombe United in Port Harcourt, while Enyimba beat Samba FC 3-1 in Bauchi.
