John Ogu joins Portuguese club Academica
Ogu has moved to Academica
Ogu, who terminated his contract with relegated Uniao Liera at the end of last season, has since joined up with his new team for pre-season.
The former Almeria of Spain player told MTNFootball.com that he is delighted with the deal and he hopes for an improved performance in the coming season.
"I am happy that I have settled down with Academica after many offers and uncertainty of where I will play. I signed a three-year contract and I am looking forward to a great season," he said.
Ogu, who scored three goals in 12 games for Uniao Liera, started his career at Academica on a bright note when he was brought down for a penalty in a pre-season game against Feirense.
"I have played a game for them already when we drew 2-2 with Feirense. I played the last 25 minutes, though I didn't score but I was brought down for the penalty that gave us the equaliser," Ogu told
