Nigeria international defender Efe Ambrose has delivered Christmas gifts at the Yorkhill Children's Hospital in the spirit of the season.

"It's a thing of joy for me to put a smile on the faces of patients in the spirit of Christmas. I love children and making them happy excites me. It was a wonderful atmosphere. I believe this visit will hasten their recovery," Ambrose told MTNFootball.com

Former Ashdod of Israel defender was among Celtic players like captain Scott Brown, Joe Ledley, Kelvin Wilson, Adam Matthews, Emilio Izaguirre and Lassad who toured round the wards.

During their visit, the players met with patients and their friends and family while handing out early Christmas presents.

Celtic have been long-time supporters of the hospital.

Every year, the Celts make the journey to the Glasgow hospital to meet the young Hoops who don’t have the chance to make it home for Christmas.
