Mabo tips Falconets to win World Cup
Ordega fired hat-trick vs Italy
Mabo told MTNFootball.com that the girls have shown character and qualities of champions in waiting and urged them not to give room for complacency.
"I must commend the girls for their performances so far at the World Cup. They have shown that they have all what it takes to rule the world, their coaches too have done a great job on the team,” Mabo remarked.
“They should not let their performance get into their heads and misbehave, all they need is to remain focussed and continue to believe in themselves. They are good enough to win the trophy."
The Nigeria Falconets will face a tough Mexico team in the World Cup quarterfinal on Thursday.
The team, who won two and drew one of their group games, have since arrived Tokyo for the match.
In 2010, the Falconets made history by becoming the first African team to reach the final of a FIFA women’s event only to lose to hosts Germany in the final.
