Macauley Christantus scored the winner on his league debut for Spanish second division side Las Palmas at Racing Santander.

The game played at Campos de Sport de El Sardinero, Santander home ground, saw the former Nigeria forward hit the back of the net in the 29th minute after a good cross from Momo to send the travelling fans into wild jubilation.

Christantus, who sensationally cancelled his contract with German Bundesliga outfit Hamburg this summer, is expected to lift the Spanish side to the top-flight La Liga with his goals at the end of the season.

Former Flying Eagles captain Ramon Azeez was a 55th minute substitute for Almeria in their 5-4 away win over Barcelona 2 in another Spanish Segunda league game.

While Super Eagles striker Ikechukwu Uche fired blanks for Villarreal in their 2-1 win over Real Madrid II.

IK Uche was substituted in the 66th by Jaume Costa.
