Kaita back from layoff
Sani Kaita has revealed to MTNFootball.com that he is relieved to be back training with his Ukrainian club after a four-month injury layoff.

“I’m really relieved to be back training with the rest of the squad after almost four months after my knee surgery,” Kaita said from his base in Ukraine.

“This was my first-ever major injury and it really took a lot on me because I did not have the experience to deal with such a long absence from the game.”

Kaita told MTNFootball.com that he now hopes to complete his recovery by playing his first game for his club Tavriya not later than the end of the month.

“I believe that in the next two weeks I should be in a very good position to play my first game for my club as everything has been going according to plan. I’m training very well and I do not feel any pains in my knee now,” the former Kano Pillars star further disclosed.

Tavriya have struggled at the start of the new season but the Nigeria international maintained they will soon turn the corner.

“It could sometimes be very difficult for a team at the beginning of the season, but I’m confident we have the quality to overcome this very soon,” he said.

“Last weekend we won our first game and I believe that it is what we need to find our feet in the league.”
