Cup action - Prime vs Sharks
Prime FC will on Monday seek royal blessings from the Emir of Ilorin Sulu Gambari ahead of a Federation Cup semi-final against Heartland.

The Emir of Ilorin is an astute football fan and was once on the board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Chairman Osun State Football Association Taiwo Ogunjobi told reporters at the Oshogbo Township Stadium that the visit to the Emir is part of activities to ensure the team triumph over cup holders Heartland.

“We are launching operation total victory for Prime, the players know what is at stake and we have told them to go all out to beat Heartland,” Ogunjobi disclosed.

“We want to win the Federation Cup trophy and that is why we are going to pay the Emir of Ilorin courtesy call on Monday so that he will shower his blessings on the team."

The former general secretary of the NFF further stated that Osun State Government has provided a free bus service to ferry fans to watch the cup game in Ilorin.

Ogunjobi also called for prayers for the team and urged fans to storm the Kwara State Stadium to cheer Prime to victory on Wednesday.

The other semi-final is between Kano Pillars and Lobi Stars in Calabar.
