The Falconets, as they are fondly referred to, are set for the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, which gets underway on Sunday.

Led by team secretary Faith Ben-Anuge, the 32-man delegation comprising 21 players and 11 officials were received by top officials from the Nigeria Embassy in Japan and the Federation of International Football (FIFA).

Before coming to Japan, Nigeria trained in Korea for two weeks.
