The Falconets, as they are fondly referred to, are set for the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, which gets underway on Sunday.
Led by team secretary Faith Ben-Anuge, the 32-man delegation comprising 21 players and 11 officials were received by top officials from the Nigeria Embassy in Japan and the Federation of International Football (FIFA).
They were driven to the Royal Pines Hotel in Saitama, which is an hour and a half minutes drive.
Fellow Group B opponents, Italy, Brazil and Korea Republic are lodged in the same hotel
Training resumes Wednesday afternoon with coach, Edwin Okon saying it would be stepped up given the fact that the team’s World Cup opener against Korea Republic is just three days away.
"We cannot afford to take any chances at this time now that we are in Japan," he said.
Before coming to Japan, Nigeria trained in Korea for two weeks.
