Ex-Nigeria World Cup star Bartholomew Ogbeche has been released by English Championship club Middlesbrough.

Ogbeche, who has played in Spain, France, Qatar and Greece before moving to England, was declared surplus to requirement ahead of the new season.

He featured for PSG, Bastia, Metz and Alaves(All in France), Al Jazira (Qatar), Valladolid (Spain) and Kavala (Greece).

Last season, the 27-year-old striker, who played for Nigeria at the 2002 World Cup, played 17 games and scored three goals for ‘Boro, who failed to win promotion to the top flight.

He has been capped 11 times by Nigeria and has scored three goals.

Bath Ogbeche, its high time you reinvented your football career and settled down in one club. A rolling stone gathers no moss. Moving round the whole clubs in the world will only dissipate your energy without any appreciable impact.
