Juwon Oshaniwa
Injured Nwachukwu out
Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has announced that injured Heartland winger
Obinna Nwachukwu has been replaced by Crown FC Femi Ajani.
Ajani has already joined the Abuja training camp and showed flashes of a player hungry for greatness.
The Eagles had their first training Monday evening since returning to camp at the practice pitch of the Abuja National Stadium with Keshi complaining bitterly about the state of the pitch.
As a result, the team will relocate to the FIFA Goal Project artificial turf in the same vicinity despite the fact that the friendly against Niger will be played on natural grass.
In all 22 players trained with Sunshine Stars players still being awaited.
Keshi again told them to stand firm against any inferiority complex, as they have equal opportunities to win shirts like the players who are based abroad for the September 8, Nations Cup qualifier against the Lone Star of Liberia.
“Just show me what you can do on the pitch and leave the rest for us to do when the time for selection of players for the games comes,” he said.
