Musa suspended
Kano Pillars midfielder Mustapha Musa has been suspended for a Federation Cup semifinal against Lobi Stars on August 15.

“Musa picked up a second booking in our game against Kwara United and so will miss our Federation Cup semifinal against Lobi in Calabar,” disclosed Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa.

Former Enyimba defensive midfielder has been in fine scoring form in the cup competition as he has so far scored twice using his towering height to great advantage off setpieces.

Musa notched the cup winner for Enyimba in the 2009 Federation Cup at the expense of Sharks in Lagos.

Pillars are also at a fix about the clash against fellow NPL title chasers Lobi as they will be without three key stars because of international duty.

Papa Idris, Umar Zango and Gabriel Reuben have all been called up by the Super Eagles for an international friendly on August 15 in Niger.

The NPL table toppers have formally complained to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
