Cameroun: Aurélien Chedjou should remain at Lille

The LOSC’s Cameroonian international defender (27 years of age, 27 matches and five goals in the Ligue 1 this season), whose departure had been announced by certain French media, will continue his stint in the north for at least another season.

“I have a feeling that he will be here this season,” shared Rudi Garcia, the coach of the Dogues on Thursday in a press conference.

Several Italian clubs showed interest in the Indomitable Lion at the start of the transfer window, but his club did not receive any official offer for the defender who is under contract until 2015.

Senegal: Abdoulaye Diagne Faye signs at Hull City

Former Senegalese international midfielder Abdoulaye Diagne Faye, free since the end of last season from West Ham, will make a new start at Hull City.

Several specialised sites announced the signing of a contract of a year with the Championship club (English second division).

Hull City, coached by Steve Bruce, the former Birmingham and Sunderland coach, is relying on the years of experience of the former Lions defender, who played at Ndiambour de Louga and at Jeanne d’Arc de Dakar.

Abdoulaye Diagne Faye also wore the jerseys of English clubs, Bolton, Newcastle, Stoke City and West Ham.

Senegal-France: Aly Cissokho could return to Portugal

Aly Cissokho (24 years old, 31 matches in the L1 in 2011-12) may have received permission from his club, Olympique Lyonnais, to leave this season, but the defender has still not received any concrete offer since the start of the summer transfer window.

But according to a French daily newspaper, he could be returning to the Portuguese championship that he knows quite well after his time at FC Porto.  The Franco-Senegalese left back is in fact of interest to his former club’s big rival, Benfica Lisbon.

The Lisbon club is however not prepared to spend the 10 million Euros demanded by his club, the sum which also dampened the interests of Inter Milan and Napoli a few weeks ago.

Ghana: Ismael Yartey arrives in the Doubs region

Ghanaian striker Ismael Yartey (22 years of age, 31 matches and eight goals in the Swiss championship in 2011-2012) has signed up at FC Sochaux for four years this Monday, after satisfying the usual medical examination.

"It is a dream of any African to be able to play in the Ligue 1.  I am very happy to come to FCSM and to have the opportunity to play here," he reacted on the official site of FC Sochaux Montbelliard.

Before coming to France, Ismael Yartey played in Portugal (Benfica Lisbon) and in Switzerland (Servette de Genève).

Mali-France: Moussa Sissoko dreams of England

Franco-Malian offensive midfielder Moussa Sissoko (22 years of age, 35 matches and two goals in the Ligue 1 in 2011-2012), was announced to be leaving TFC several times, but has still not found an interested club.

The young player, who requested a call-up to England, says he is nevertheless ready to continue on the path with his club.

"Everyone knows that I am hungry to discover other championships, particularly the Premier League. (…) However, I don’t want to talk about failure if I remain at TFC.  I am not unhappy here.  I have a good position in a good club where everything combines well for success," he confided to a local newspaper.

Moussa Sissoko, who was trained at Toulouse Football Club, is under contract until June 2013.
