Ghana's oldest existing club Accra Hearts of Oakare one of the celebrated teams in the country for their successes both at home and abroad.
Hearts have been among Africa's pre-eminent clubs since their founding in 1911 and won the Africa Champions League title in 2000.
They made history by becoming the first side to win the Africa Confederation Cup when beating arch rivals Kotoko on penalties in the final in 2004.
The Accra side are the only Ghanaian team to have won both major current CAF trophies despite never winning any of the older incarnations of the CAF competitions.
They are the only team in Ghana to have won the league on six consecutive occasions (1997–2002).
Locally they have clinched the league title 20 times since the start of the competition in 1956 and have won the Ghana FA Cup nine times.
They have also produced some of the country's illustrious footballers including midfielder Stephen Appiah who led Ghana to their first two World Cup appearances.
Some of their legendary players include the 'Dribilling Magician' are Mohammed Polo, striker Ishmael Addo, Emmanuel Osei Kuffuor, Adolf Armah, Shamo Quaye, Ablade Kumah and Peter Lamptey.
The side currently coach by Serbian Nebojsa Vucicevic will be counting on goalkeeper Sammy Adjei, defender Godfred OseiBonsu, striker Mahatma Otoo and Douglas Nkrumah to help them dethrone title holders Berekum Chelsea.
