Al Ain coach furious with Ghana for fielding injured Gyan
Gyan, Al Ain's leading scorer, picked up a thigh injury in the build up to the match but was declared fit to face Sudan.
He scored the opener in the 4-0 win before limping off in the second half.
Gyan has returned to the Dubai-based club injured for Friday's UAE Etisalat Pro League match against Al Shabab.
Oloriou is angry with the Black Stars technical team for allowing his lethal weapon to play through the pain barrier.
"He picked up an injury in a friendly match when preparing for the qualifier, but still played, made his injury worse and had to be substituted,'' the Romanian said.
"The risk of Gyan playing should not have been taken. I'm disappointed the Ghana officials took the decision when he was already suffering with an injury."
Gyan leads the scorers chart in the UAE with 24 goals.
