New Edubiase players are ready for the Confederation Cup
New Edubiase United will play their CAF Confederation matches in Accra, the club have confirmed

The Gyemfis Park in Bekwai does not meet the requirements of the continent's football governing to host international matches.

The club could have played at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium and the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi but decided to play in the capital.

"If we had decided to play in Obuasi or Kumasi, that would have been an added cost because we would have to fly teams from Accra to either Obuasi or Kumasi,'' Edubiase deputy CEO Alex Ackumey told MTNFootball.com

"We are praying the fans in Accra will show up to support this young team who are eager to make history."

Edubiase are making their debut in Africa.
