Flight problems disrupt Ghana's AFCON plans

Ghana's local contingent were unable to travel to Nairobi on Sunday night
Only four players of Ghana's team could travel to their camping base Nairobi, Kenya due to flight problems ahead their 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi.   

Daniel Nii Adjei, Fatau Dauda, Philemon McCarthy, Emmanuel Clottey and welfare officer Sabahn Quaye had seats on the Kenya Airways flight on Sunday. 

Head coach Kwesi Appiah some members of his technical team were shocking told there were no seats available even though they had long made their bookings.  

Appiah will be joined be his assistant Maxwell Konadu for Monday night's flight to Nairobi. 

Konadu arrived on Monday morning after leading Ghana's Under-20 to secure qualification to the 2013 African Youth Championship finals despite losing 3-1 to Morocco in Rabat. 

They are expected to be joined by their foreign counterparts on Monday to begin preparations for the crucial qualifier against the Flames.

The Black Stars will train at the Kasarani Stadium before leave for Lilongwe on Friday for Saturday encounter at the Civo Stadium in Lilongwe. 

Ghana hold a 2-0 first leg advantage.
