New Edubiase United have slapped a US$ 1m price tag on Emmanuel Baffour
New Edubiase United have placed a US$ 1 million price tag on the head of striker Emmanuel Baffour.

The 24-year-old has emerged as a transfer target of many European sides after racking up 21 goals to win the Ghana Premier League top scorer award for the just ended season.

Baffour passed a medical at Turkish club Antalyaspor but the deal has not been finalized with his hefty price tag believed to be the major stumbling block.

Edubiase however claim other interests from European clubs but have made it clear they will be holding out for the million dollar payout although the price is up for negotiation.

"Baffour is valued at US$ 1m and that is the region we are looking at," Club President Abdul Salam Yakubu told Takoradi-based Melody FM.

'' We are ready to accept US$ 800,000 but really we are looking at US$ 1 million.

"We are still talking to the interested clubs and hopefully we will get it sorted out soon."

Baffour failed to make Ghana's final squad for next month's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after reporting late for training.
