Bechem United contest relegation

Bechem United are refusing to accept their relegation from the Ghana Premier League.

The debutants finished second from bottom but want the Ghana Football Association's verdict on a protest filed against relegated Wassaman United.

They want Wassaman to be declared losers of their second round encounter for fielding unqualified players.

If they win, Bechem will accrue three points and that will see surpass Berekum Arsenal -who survived-with a two-point lead.

"We are going in for a review and we expect the right to be done otherwise we will resort to Fifa," Chief Executive Kingsley Osei-Bonsu told Joy Sports.

"Our position is that we protested based on the unqualified players fielded by Wassaman.

"I don't see the reason why the GFA is asking us to fish for the information while they can just contact the IT department to find out whether the cards of the players were ready before or after the game.''
