Sulley Muntari has been ruled out of action for six months
Sulley Muntari has absorbed international team mate Christian Atsu of any blame for the serious injury he sustained two weeks ago in Accra.

The AC Milan midfielder went for a challenge on the FC Porto whiz kid and got injured in the process-which has sidelined him close to six months.

Muntari was playing with other foreign-based professionals at the Bawleshie Park when the incident happened.

Atsu has been criticized for his excessive showboating and talks on the street have fingered the 20-year-old.

"I was in a regular football field and there wasn't any tackle or anything. My leg simply turned in an unnatural way while I was kicking," Muntari explained his injury

"I certainly would not injure myself on purpose. I was the first to be disappointed.

"I played about 20 minutes and then the trouble happened."

Muntari could spend close to six months on the sidelines.
