John Mensah says he is fit to return to the pitch
The Olympique Lyon centre-back has been out of action since suffering a thigh injury at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in February.
Mensah's persistent injuries restricted him to only one appearance for his French Ligue 1 side last season.
His return will be a major for Ghana ahead of their 2013 Nations Cup final round qualifiers in September.
"I feel very fit now and would be available for both club and county in next available games,” Mensah declared on a local radio station.
"I thank God that I am back. It has been very worrying taking into account that my employers hired my services for a high fee only to warm the bench.
"My club knows I would have done more but for the frequent injuries but they know injuries are part of the game."
Mensah's club future is uncertain after reports that he might leave Lyon despite having one year left on his contract.
