Pantsil content with Ghana legacy
John Pantsil says he has paid his dues with the Black Stars
The 31-year-old, currently unattached, was overlooked for Ghana's opening 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zambia.
There are fears his international career is over after ten years of service.
Pantsil racked up 85 caps under his belt to emerge the second most capped national team player behind Richard Kingson.
"What I know is that national team is not for only one person, it is for all Ghanaians and therefore anyone is entitled to play," the former Fulham defender told MTNFootball.com
"I have been in the Black Stars team for ten years and I have done what many could not do.
"If you look at people who have played most in the national team, Richard Kingson is first and I am second in the highest appearance, 85 games for the national team.
"So am proud of it, if I don't come back again I would be pleased for what I have achieved for the nation but if I come back I will continue with my good works for the nation."
Pantsil played at two FIFA World Cup finals and made four Africa Cup of Nations appearances.
