Asamoah undergoes Juventus medicals
Kwadwo Asamoah is undergoing medicals at Juventus
MTNFootball.com exclusively revealed on Monday that the midfielder would travel to Italy to seal the deal with the Italian champions.
The Ghanaian midfielder, who has featured for Torino and Udinese since moving to Italy in 2008, earlier visited the city’s Clinica Fornaca di Sessant.
He will now conduct further tests at the Istituto di Medicina dello Sport.
Now with the deal firmly tied, Asamoah will sign a four-year bumper deal with Juventus if he passes the medical this afternoon.
The 23-year-old, who is under contract with Udinese until June 2015, will leave the Fruili club after the two clubs agreed on a deal.
Asamoah, a key member of the Udinese side that finished third in Serie A this campaign, has attracted interest from around Europe including clubs like Manchester United.
However, Juventus have stolen a march on their rivals in the chase for the signature of the Ghanaian player.
He scored three goals in 31 league appearances to help his team finish third in Serie A.
Last summer, Udinese sold Alexis Sanchez, Gokhan Inler and Cristian Zapata after finishing fourth in Serie A and qualifying for the Champions League.
The departures did not stop the Friuli side improving on that finish this season.
