Mahatma Otoo is close to joining Egyptian side Al Ahly
The six-time African champions are currently in talks with his Ghana Premier League club for a permanent deal.
Ahly's new technical staff, headed by coach Hossam El-Badry, is reportedly trying to strengthen the team's attacking department for the 2012 CAF Champions League Group stage.
Otoo has already played in North Africa with Esperance of Tunisia on a six-month loan deal in 2010.
The 20-year-old captained Ghana's Under-20 at the 2011 African Youth Championship finals.
