GFA rules out Black Stars matches outside Accra & Kumasi

But the GFA has not ruled out playing the matches for the other national teams in Sekondi, Tamale and Obuasi.
This comes after complaints that Black Stars matches are only played in Accra and Kumasi.
When the authorities attempted to send a Black Stars game to Sekondi it nearly ended in disaster as there was overcrowding in the 20,000 capacity stadium in Essipong.
The Ghana FA boss says they won't risk taking the country's first team matches to small stadium until bigger stadia are built in other parts of the country.
"In 2008 we took a decision to rotate venues for national team matches but we must also bear in mind about capacity," Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi said.
"But when we took the Black Stars-Lesotho match to Sekondi the stadium was overstretched.
"I don't blame anybody for that. It is out of the interest and passion we have for the national team.
"We must understand that a 20,000 capacity stadium is inadequate to host a Black Stars match.
"It may lead to loss of lives and instead of jubilating, we will be crying.
"We can play other matches like the junior team matches in Tamale, Sekondi, Obuasi and other venues.
"Until such a time that the capacities of these stadiums improve we won't be able to take the Black Stars there."
The Black Stars will be playing 2013 Nations Cup qualifiers and 2014 World Cup qualifiers this year.
