Ten-man Edubiase blank Wassaman to reach FA Cup final
New Edubiase United are in the MTN Ghana FA Cup final
A Bernard Ofori 85th minute effort helped Anthony Commey's depleted side beat relegated Wassaman at the Accra Sports Stadium.
None of the sides were able to break the deadlock in the first half despite a strong display from the two sides.
Edubiase were reduced to ten after referee William Agbovi controversially sent off Nartey Polo for a foul he seemingly did not commit.
The numerical disadvantage did little to diminish Edubiase's determination.
They dominated the midfield and created more scoring opportunities putting Wassaman United under pressure but they failed to utilise any of them.
Basit Adams' powerful effort deflected a Wassaman defender before being scooped off the goal-line.
A minute later, Adams turned the architect as his incisive cross met the foot of Ofori who directed home the game's solitary goal on the 85th minute mark.
Edubiase will face AshGold in the final at the same venue next Sunday.
