Kwadwo Asamoah ready to fight for Juventus starting berth
Kwadwo Asamoah says he is unfazed by the competition for a starting role in Juventus midfield.

The Ghana international has joined the Italian champions from Udinese where he commanded a permanent first team place.

He will be competing for a berth with Mauricio Isla, Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo and Sebastian Giovinco.

Asamoah believes he has the credentials to make an impact at the Juventus Stadium.

"Football isn't just about one person, it's about the team as a whole. Even if I'm on the bench it won't be a problem,'' Asamoah said at a press conference.

"As I've said, I'm here to help the team.

"I was fine at Udinese but when the opportunity arose to sign for Juventus, the champions and one of the most important teams in the world, I accepted immediately."

Asamoah singled out two players for praise as Juventus won the Scudetto last term.

"Vidal is an extremely strong player. I watched many games last year and I’ve always liked him," he added.

"I also admire Pirlo. Throughout his long career he’s always managed to play at the highest levels."
