Muntari will not be punishing for shoving a Juventus player
AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has escaped an Italian Football Federation ban after an investigation into the weekend's Serie A  clash against Juventus.

The Ghana international was accused of violently shoving Swiss international Stephan Lichtsteiner but has been cleared of any wrong doing.

The 27-year-old will not face any action and will be available for the next Serie A match.

But his teammate Philippe Mexes has received a three-match ban after video evidence found him guilty of punching Juventus' Marco Borriello.

French centre-back Mexes was caught on camera punching former Roma teammate Borriello in the ribs, on the blind side of both the referee and his assistants.

Muntari scored a goal in the match but although his header had crossed the line, the referee disallowed his effort.
