Berekum Chelsea are ready to host Ah Ahly on Sunday
Berekum Chelsea have denied Al Ahly's claims of providing a low-standard hotel for their CAF Champions League match.

The Cairo-based side reported on their official website that they had rejected the 2-star hotel being offered by their hosts.

But Chelsea have vehemently denied that and say they have provided one of the best hotels in the country to the six-time champions.

A statement on the club's website read: "The hotel we gave them is a member of the Ghana Hotels Association which comprises 3 star hotels like Alisa, Manet Paradise Beach Resort,Miklin and the African Regent hotel.

"After the first leg, we told them by email that we can't afford a five star hotel on their return to Ghana. "

Officials of Chelsea have also accused the Egyptian Consular in Ghana for sidestepping them.

"He has gone ahead to secure the Lizzy Sports Complex training pitch for Ahly Ahly for us to pay and snubbed the Legon Presec Park which was used a CAN 2008 training pitch," the statement added.

Ahly's 22-man squad will be in Accra on Thursday morning, two days before their match
at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
