The Menas next for Zahoui?

Former Côte d’Ivoire coach, François Zahoui
François Zahoui wants to take over the reins of the Niger national team.  After leaving the head of the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire in May, the Ivoirian technician aspires to coach a national team again.

And Niger has become Zahoui's latest target, after he failed in his attempt to take over Mali and Senegal.

“Yes, there has been contact with national teams, but also Qatari clubs.  After that, our priority remains a project with an African nation, because we would like to compete in the next Afcon,” confided his deputy, Jean Susini on RMC, confirming the intentions of the former Toulon player.

François Zahoui was recently named as the head of the Ivoirian U23 team, according to a press release published by the Ivoirian Federation on their website, but he never delivered comment on the subject and his silence has naturally aroused questions on the truth of the information.

Given Jean Susini’s comments on air, it is clear that the Afcon 2012 runner-up has thoughts of going elsewhere and does not appear to be enamoured with the FIF’s new plans for him, after the way in which he was sacked so unexpectedly and disrespectfully from the national selection.
