In Week 11 of the Ivoirian Ligue 1, Séwé Sports de San-Pedro - the solid leaders of Group A after their success against Issia Wazi (2-1) on Sunday evening at the Stade Auguste Denise de San-Pedro - are heading straight for the Superdivision.

At three weeks before the end of the first half of the championship, the Portuaires total 18 points and relegate their pursuer, EFYM, to four points.

The surprise of the week came from the East of Côte d’Ivoire, and more particularly from Abengourou where the local team, ASI, outclassed Africa Sports d’Abidjan (1-0), a defeat which sent the Aiglons down to mid-table.

The Green and Red now occupy fifth place, at three weeks before the end of the first round.

As for the Princes de l’Indénié, this life-saving victory is worth savouring.  Lying sixth at the outset of the match, ASI have reached the podium tallying 12 points, just two less than EFYM.

In Group B, the status quo has remained. The clash between ASC Ouragahio and Asec was interrupted due to heavy rains in the city of Yamoussoukro, leaving the Mimos stuck in fourth place with 12 points, at six whole points from second position, occupied by JCAT.
